Despite the fact that it’s now a chain, there’s still definite glamour to the original Saks. It’s a classic, and unlike Macy’s, its size is manageable. As for its prices . . . . They may not be within the realm for many people, but browsing here is a delight and the cosmetics department includes brands you won’t find elsewhere in the U.S.
